About

I'm Camillia from Toronto, Ontario, Canada God has captivated my heart, stolen my gaze and has all my affections. I'm committed to pursuing the One who first pursued me. I want to Stand, Serve, Minister and Burn before the Uncreated God...

I was waiting until I had some form of inspiration to write, however, inspiration feels like it's a million miles away. So I'll just write :)

The beginning of this year found me in Kansas City, MO for 3 of the most intense months of my life. I'll forever be grateful for that time of being "hidden" in a place of seeking God's face and nothing else. It taught me a great deal about who He is and in turn about myself and the places in my life I've ignored that have caused pain. I'm still dealing with those areas of life...now with His help and perhaps in a more real sense than being out there. Without the protection of that "bubble", it's like tasting air for the first time, most likely breathing in a little too deeply sigh(bad analogy...sorry).

Anywho, back to why I was writing. So after being back in Winnipeg for a month, I've skipped town again. This Ontario visit will be until the middle/endish of June.

I'm in Toronto right now, spending time with relatives and my sister out here. It's been nice to catch up with the family out here (the majority of my Dad's side of the family are here in Toronto). I'll be heading to Ottawa tomorrow and spending the rest of my time with a couple Aunts and cousins on my Mom's side. The last week of being here in June is reserved for Graduations: my sister's university grad and 2 cousins' high school grad.

Main reason for the trip, you may ask? *Drum roll please* School! Yes, after a year off to reorganize my life and set my priorities straight, I'm preparing to go back into the world of schooling. Emotions, at this time, are definitely mixed. My plans have changed many times this year alone and I'm trying to finally settle them once and for all.

I would love for it to work out this way: Living with my sister here in Toronto and going to Seneca College for my incredibly nerdy degree in Applied Technology. The specific program would be the Computer Systems Technology program, attempting to zero in on Network Administration (yes I like computers and networks, in case you didn't know).

However, I am keeping my options open and also applying in Ottawa for Carleton University to pursue a Degree in Information Technology. At that point, I would also zero in on Network Administration.

There are many other options available out there, but I suck at making decisions that pertain to my personal future. So the smaller amount of options I have, the better:) Those are the primary reasons of being out here, but it's also a nice time to again prioritize and reorganize life.

Life has thrown some interesting curve balls in the last little while and I haven't been handling them very well (surprise surprise lol). I'm praying for strength and wisdom at this critical point in life. I don't want to go down the wrong path just for experience sake or in the name of "finding myself". I'd rather walk down the path God has carved out for me; a path that His Word is lighting and guiding. My relationship with Him must and will forever be my foundation and the core of my being. If I don't have Him, I've got jack squat:) And if I'm not following Him, my existence is in vain. No degree or diploma or form of higher education can take that place.

So as I prepare to re-enter into the "real world", where the Word of God is mocked and ridiculed, I'll have it written on my heart, remembering He has the last laugh when the people plot a vain thing (Psalm 2).

Blessings :)
